大家好!

Hello! How's everyone? 😊

New companion!
It's my birthday week! I can't believe I'm turning 26 this month hahahaha so old lol but yeah, life is great! 😊

Birthday greetings and Pday celebration!

Updates from last week:

I'm finally here in my new area! This is my last area and hoping to finish my mission here (we'll find out after our move calls again this Saturday hahaha hopefully the new missionaries will come now)... So yeah, my new area is big! Super cool! Haha. Doing "pure" Tagalog work is definitely different from Cantonese work. I kinda miss talking in Cantonese but I'm also happy that I can speak my mother language now and some dialects haha.

We go to church almost every day haha. We go to Wednesday branch/family, Saturday branch/family, and Sunday island branch. It's interesting and at the same time, there's just too much socialization hahahaha sumasakit din panga ko kakasmile minsan (my face hurts when I smile sometimes) haha and Filipinos are just soooo funny in general 😅.. They always feed the missionaries here and it was my first time to eat Jollibee for 3 straight days hahahaha nakakasawa din pala pag puro chickenjoy (it gets tiring after awhile) 😂😅 We did some district find "music/singing" find too. It was fun!

I just want to share a miracle for this week. We can call it "the minute maid miracle". Haha. While me and Sister Briz were finding few days ago, there were some freebies/free taste for minute maid juice and so we planned on getting one during our finding haha then we continued walking and talking to people... But towards the end of our find, we decided to have another minute maid free taste haha which led us to one of the investigators that the Elders were teaching who didn't respond to their messages for few days now. We were able to know her concerns and she also said she'll come to church this week sooo hurray! 😊 Other than that, there's more things to share but I'm loving my new area, new comp, and new people that we work with 😊

Anyways, here are some of my faves from General Conference :
  1. Elder Holland - "May we strive to see Christ at the center of our lives, of our faith, and of our service."
  2. Elder Uchtdorf - "When you fill your hearts with the pure love of Christ, you leave no room for rancor, judgment, and shaming. You keep God’s commandments because you love Him. In the process, you slowly become more Christlike in your thoughts and deeds. And what adventure could be greater than this?"
  3. Elder González - "At any rate, accepting His will—not our own—will help us understand our circumstances. Nothing bad can come from God. He knows what is best for us. Perhaps He will not remove our burdens right away. Sometimes He can make those burdens feel lighter, as He did with Alma and his people. Ultimately, because of covenants, the burdens will be lifted, either in this life or at the holy Resurrection."
  4. Elder Soares - "We must acknowledge that He is aware of each of us and of our needs. It is also necessary to accept the fact that the Lord’s timing is different than ours. Sometimes we seek for a blessing and set a time limit for the Lord to fulfill it. We cannot condition our faithfulness to Him by imposing upon Him a deadline for the answers to our desires."

I love this gospel and I love you all! Have a great, wonderful, and amazing week everyone! Don't forget that you're a child of God and He loves you. 💕
