你好大家!你地好? 我掛住你地!

Hello everyone! 😊 I am finally back to the real world (Hong Kong). I am missing Macau soooo much but I know that the Lord has a plan 😊 I am so ready to help my new area and be with my new companion! I'm now assigned...[with] my new companion Sister Alboroto. There's a lot of work to do but I know that this transfer will be great as we work together! 😊 Filipina power! 😊 We're doing both Cantonese and Tagalog work right now... Uhmm, it's also been raining for the past few days nevertheless it's good to be back to the fast-paced missionary work 😁 Haha. I'm still ferry-lagged though lol I don't know why I'm still tired til now haha anyways thank you for your replies, emails, and updates! I love reading them! So sorry that I can't reply to everyone but do know that you're always in my thoughts and prayers...

Updates from last week:

Macau update-

We had a turnover lesson with...a potential and Mandarin speaking lady. She came to church (Sunday) prior to our turnover lesson last Tuesday. Sister Fung did a good job in explaining things to her in Mandarin. She also speaks Cantonese but her mother language is Mandarin. While we were with her and teaching her, I felt her desire to learn more and she's very willing to meet with the missionaries again and to start reading the Book of Mormon. Even though I didn't really understand some of the things they were talking about in Mandarin, I still felt the Spirit that time testifying of the truthfulness of the message that we're sharing... Then we had a baptism at night! [T]he Elders were teaching him. I liked what he shared in his testimony, he said : "I am thankful that the Elders didn't give up on me even though I am very hard to deal with and very hard to teach and schedule. I have felt their love and concern towards me. I know that the message is true." It was really a heartfelt testimony. 😊 Last Wednesday was also the last time I visited "Sis. J." and the elders administered the Sacrament to her. I am missing her now 😢 She's really a great example of faith despite of her health problems. It was also sad to say bye to the Cantonese class people. We were able to build friendships with them and all of them were worried that no Filipinos will come to Macau for this transfer but I encouraged them to continue supporting the missionaries and even though we're back in Hong Kong, the Macau missionaries will still help them 😊 I know they will.

New Area update-

We met with our Bishop (from one of the wards that we handle) on my first night here in Hong Kong! 😊 We had Bishop's meeting it was a long one! HAHAHAHA. We mainly discussed how we can better help the Ward and obviously I'm still learning and adjusting with the new area but I'm very thankful for Sister Alboroto 😊 I've seen how much she's grown since her baby days. So proud of her! 💜 I also met some of the people that they're teaching so that was fun! 😊 It's also interesting how they do Sacrament meeting here. The service is in Cantonese but since they have deaf members here, they do sáuyúh or sign language for them. Some of the members do this for them. It was pretty cool! I bet by the end of this transfer, I'll learn some hahaha... and also they have Filipino members who attend the service so we have translators for them. On Sunday night, me and Sister Alboroto together with my previous companions taught my bestfriend [in Macau] through video call. I am so thankful for technology that we're able to do this even though I'm not in Macau anymore 😊

Back in Hong Kong with Sis. Alboroto!

I've seen God's hand in my life from this past week 😊 No matter how hard or challenging this work, I know that He will bring to pass "many mighty miracles". We just have to believe and trust in Him. I love being a missionary! 😊

Love y'all! Have a great week!
