你好大家!你地好?

Happy Independence Day, Hong Kong! And happy one year in the field to me! How are you all? 😊

Updates from last week:

Good week! I got sick last Tuesday but Sister Alboroto took good care of me. She's very good but we mainly did missionary work at home and called people that day... We're still doing our "10 windows finding" a week and is getting darker and darker everyday hahaha but it was a good week as we were able to find people who has interest to learn more 😊

One of the people we're teaching blocked us on WhatsApp. 😭 She wanted the members and us to help her with her garden but doesn't want to deal with the gospel discussions. It's very sad but it's okay, the Lord has a timing for her.

Miracles of the week:

During our windows last week, we met "J." (the Elders wanted to turn her over to us). They have been meeting with her and teaching the Gospel for weeks now. It's just amazing how we met her first even before the actual turnover lesson is. We were able to build relationship and trust with her 😊 mehehe.. We were also able to meet Brother "U." and his daugher. So [he] is a Filipino who lived here [in Hong Kong] for almost 21 years now. His family is also here in Hong Kong. He said he has a friend who has our same religion and he's been wanting to know more about us but the friend didn't share our beliefs to him when they were young. (Might be scared and shy?) So we taught him Restoration and the importance of families and how we believe and know that families can be together forever. He is very interested to learn more. We will try to reschedule him again and hopefully we can start teaching their family :) Yay!

Sometimes during our windows, it's very tiring and spiritually draining because a lot of people will not talk to us. A Chinese man even said "Sira ulo ka" which means You are crazy in Tagalog. We were shocked but we just let it go. And maybe that's the only Tagalog phrase he knows haha. But yeah, it's really sad especially when you only want to share this gospel to them but they won't listen. I now know what the prophets of old have felt. 😭😭

Question for everyone: We've been finding a lot of people saying that "Ngoh seun jiggei" (I believe in myself) when we ask their religious beliefs. It's kinda irritating now and it's so saaaad 🙄😩 How would you address this?

Keep the faith and follow Him! 😊Never forget who you are - - - you are a child of God and He loves you so much. Let us be more Christlike by loving and serving others just like what Christ did. I love being a missionary! Have a great week everyone! Love you all! 💕

Talk to ponder this week:
