Belated Happy 4th of July!

Pictures: With my companion, Sister Alboroto. I'll miss her!

Updates from last week:

We got our move calls last Saturday night and Sister Alboroto is moving to... MACAU! Hahaha. I am so happy for her! She'll be able to see and be with those people that I was teaching before and be with the awesome Filipino branch and Cantonese branch in Macau. Yay! Sooo, that means I'll get a new companion haha and my new companion is actually fresh from the Missionary Training Center (MTC) cos I will train a baby missionary! I am a mom now haha I'm excited to meet my baby on Thursday! Feels like I'm still a baby though! Can't believe I'm training someone soon 😂

Well, we've been meeting a lot of potentials, investigators, and member families last week! Pretty busy week actually! We even went to...church to accompany a Filipino sister (our new investigator) who has a Saturday off so she can attend the Saturday branch/church service. It was a good experience as it was my first time to attend the everyday branch. Looking back when I was still training, I've always wanted to experience going to their church service (dami kasi Filipinos! Parang nasa Pilipinas lang) hehe. And since it was fast and testimony meeting, a lot of members shared their testimony and feelings about the temple and how they will miss going to the temple. (Hong Kong temple is officially closed now for probably 2 yrs (?) cos of renovation).. The members shared their feelings and testimony about the importance of the ordinances that we make inside the temple. One of the families in that branch got sealed on that day too! It was awesome to hear their testimony, even their 10 year old kid stood up and bore his heartfelt testimony 😭💕 ... I love the temple! I am grateful for the knowledge that families can be together forever and for the opportunity to help our ancestors and do other ordinances. 😊

Another highlight last week was Sister G. She was a member referral that we taught last week (during our Pday actually haha) and came to church yesterday! We have been contacting her for the past few days and been following up but she kept on saying that she doesn't know yet if she can come to church. Lo and behold, she came yesterday and she loved it! She said our Sacrament service is so special and so reverent... These two highlights from last week was really unexpected but I know that everything is possible through faith.

Just want to share this quote that I read few days ago: "Love is the reason why God gave us commandments; and our love for Him should be our reason to obey His commandments. If you feel that God requires much from you, He has done so out of love. He wants you to succeed not just by your own but with His help." I know this is true! If we love Him, we will keep His commandments 😊 Let's try our best to become like Him. I love being a missionary! Love y'all!

Have a great week everyone! 💕
