ไฝ ๅฅฝ Lรฉih hรณu everyone!

How's everyone's Christmas celebration? Excited for New Year?.. Sanlihn Faailohk! ๐Ÿ’œ

Updates/Highlights from last week:

Video and Pictures: Another P-day Hike on Christmas Eve!

We had a great Christmas celebration! ๐Ÿ˜Š Last week was really fun and busy, but also spiritually uplifting... Me and my apartmentmates opened our presents/packages on Christmas morning, skyped our familes (yay!), and did some caroling wherein we gave some lollipops with #LightTheWorld card attached to it ๐Ÿ˜Š Check out the following video and pictures:

We also had our Mission Conference and all 8 zones were present. I really love every time we have Zone Conference or Mission Conference because it's really a spiritual energizer and it's like a reunion too! Haha. So happy to see my MTC companion (Sister McColgan) and we both still can't believe that we've been here in Hong Kong for 6 months now! ๐Ÿ˜„

Anyways, here are some of the things I learned from our Mission Conference:

  • If you stay close to the Spirit, the Spirit will stay close you.
  • Work hard. Work smart. Have FUN.
  • We should rely more on the Spirit in every aspect of missionary work. The Spirit truly is the ultimate teacher and we are just here to invite and testify.
Also President Phillips gave us a training about the things he learned from receiving revelation:

  1. We receive revelation not knowing beforehand --- We should have the desire, prepare to receive one, and be worthy to receive one.
  2. Repetition as a pattern for receiving --- Repetition can invite revelation if we have eyes to see and ears to hear.
  3. You know what should be done but the Holy Ghost will tell you when to do it (especially when extending baptismal dates).
  4. Revelation requires hard work, humility, and faithfulness.

Yesterday's church was great too! Everyone's excited for the new curriculum next year ๐Ÿ˜Š I know that the Lord is hastening His work and this is part of His work.

I know that God loves us so much. He wants us to grow and achieve our potential. When we understand who we are, why we are here, and what the Lord expects from us in this life will give us the vision we need in order to be back in His presence someday ๐Ÿ˜Š I know that I am here in Hong Kong for a purpose. I love being a missionary. ๐Ÿ˜Š Also, I invite you to read and ponder Elder Uchtdorf's talk, "Regrets and Resolutions" (Click link).

Have a great week everyone! I love you all and Happy New Year! ๐Ÿ’œ

WEEK 35 - MERRY CHRISTMAS!

*Note: URL links to scriptures and related material are enabled.

ไฝ ๅฅฝ Lรฉih hรณu!

Merry Christmas everyone! ๐Ÿ˜Š and congratulations to Catriona Gray for winning the Miss Universe! HAHAHA... Can't believe this year is almost over! I have so much things to be grateful for and one of those is the opportunity to be here in my mission ๐Ÿ˜Š ... This will be a short email again, sorry ๐Ÿ˜

Updates/Highlights from last week:

Videos/Pictures: We hiked Victoria Peak and it was a good hike!

During our District Council last week, my companion (Sister Allen) gave a training about a successful missionary (in PMG) and I would like to quote what she said: "Be a missionary for Heavenly Father, not a missionary for President Phillips, or our parents, or our ward."

Our recent convert is in Turkey right now for Christmas holidays haha wow! But then when he comes back, we will start his ABLs (After-baptism-lessons) ๐Ÿ˜Š

We also met a member referral last week named "Sis. J". Her situation is very sad though ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ she has this very serious illness and she's asking us what's her purpose in life but then we bore our testimonies that God loves her so much and He has a plan for us. We also taught her about prayer and an overview of Plan of Salvation. After hearing our message, she said that she got this peaceful feeling and wants to meet with us again! ๐Ÿ˜Š I testify that it is the Holy Ghost who gave her this peaceful feeling and who's testifying that our message is true.

We were also inspired to call a member and asked her if we can visit her next week but she said "no, come now, you can visit me". Hahaha, and so we visited her and she thanked us for following the promptings of the Spirit because that time she feels kinda lonesome... On that same day, we visited the "Y." Family and they had us for dinner. We challenged them to share their testimony in social media using "Because of Him..." and #LightTheWorld

Pictures: Visiting our friends!

Yesterday was a special sacrament meeting. We were expecting 5 people/new friends to come with us to church but they all fonged ("no show") us hahaha but no worries, we're used to being fonged anyways haha. ๐Ÿ˜ But yeah, sacrament meeting was good yesterday! The speakers mainly focused on Christ's birth and why do we celebrate Christmas ๐Ÿ˜Š ... I know that because of Christ, we all have the opportunity to be back in Heavenly Father's presence someday.

Pictures: Hong Kong at night

"Desire is important in this season of gift giving, when we are particularly mindful of the desires of those whom we love. During this season, I invite you to consider your own desires. What are your deepest desires? What do you really want to experience and accomplish in this life? Do you really want to become more and more like Jesus Christ? Do you really want to live with Heavenly Father and with your family forever and live as He lives?"

May we always remember the four unique gifts that the Savior gave us ๐Ÿ˜Š

Church is true! God loves you! Merry Christmas everyone! Love and miss you all!
