Leihdeih seunggo singkeih hou ma? ๐Ÿ˜Š (How was last week?)

This week's blog will start off with pictures/videos of last P-day at Cheung Chau before the details of the week. Enjoy!

Updates/Highlights from last week:

Aug 27th Monday -

After emailing, we went to Cheung Chau with other sister missionaries (all the pics and vids above!). We're allowed to P-Day with 4 sister companionships (fun!) and I got to P-Day with Mohk Jimuih (Sis. McColgan - my MTC companion yay).... So, Cheung Chau is an island known for great snacks/foods and you can rent bikes and bike around the beach area. They also have a pirate cave but I'll go there next time haha.. I ate soooo much food in Cheung Chau! I ate strawberry mochi, fried mango and taro ice cream, big fishball, chocolate shaved ice, and mango shake. I think I'm getting fat ๐Ÿ˜† mehehe... At night, we visited the "N." family. We shared Enos 1:11-12 and Alma 6:6 and it's about fasting and prayer. We committed them to think of a person to fast for this Sunday. Great family! They have two cute kids!

Aug 28th Tuesday -

Did "finding" even though it was raining sooo hard today. Nothing can stop missionary work ๐Ÿ˜Š

Aug 29th Wednesday -

Taught Sis. "C." and [her son] "J." today. We shared The Family: A Proclamation to the World and talked about Priesthood Blessings and how Priesthood Power can help us... At night, we went to [the Bishop's] house. He's the Bishop from [the other area we are covering]. We had dinner with them and taught "A.", their daughter, about 10 commandments. She'll turn 8 years old next year so we're teaching her lessons before her baptism ๐Ÿ˜Š Oh, their helper is from the Philippines so we talked in Tagalog. Haha. I missed talking in TagalogGwongdungwa hou laahn! (Cantonese is so hard!) lol.

Pictures: We played Monopoly with "J."

Aug 30th Thursday -

Visited "H.", "Y.", and Sis. "A" today. They are our investigators from [the other] area also. "H." and "Y." both reached the age of accountability but their faith is not yet fully established. Their father said that it's up to them if they want to be baptized or not. We then shared about our agency and the importance of making good and correct choices. We also shared James 1:5.

Pictures: We made bracelets with "Y."

Aug 31st Friday -

Taught English Class today about Cultures! I shared my Filipino culture and my companions shared their American and Malaysian culture... After class, we met with a returning member and shared to him a message about Prayer and that God does really answer our prayers. He's in a point of his life that he's not uncertain in making big decisions so we challenged him to say a sincere prayer every night before bed and pour out his heart to the Lord and allow Him to help him.

Sept 1st Saturday -

Wow! It's September! Merry Christmas! Lol. Start of -ber months means Christmas in the Philippines... Good news! [Our previous investigator] "G." is back from Mainland China. Not-so-good news, she fonged us (stood us up) today hahahaha. Another not-so-good news was [someone else] also fonged us today. We got fonged two times in a row hahaha... But we decided to go to his house and see if he is there. And lo and behold, he is there lol.. Well, he's actually been attending church again but still struggling with some things and wants to have peace in his life. We'll continue to pray and fast for him ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sept 2nd Sunday -

All day at church again. Fast and Testimony Meeting. I shared my testimony in [the other ward] and introduced myself to them ๐Ÿ˜Š After [that first] Sunday service, went to teach a lesson to a girl named "O.". Her grandma is a member and her mom is a less-active member. We taught her Plan of Salvation and is preparing her for her baptism next year ๐Ÿ˜Š ... Went back to church for [our ward] Sunday services then choir practice after... Hou guih haha (so tired) this day... At night, Had Family Home Evening and had break the fast dinner ๐Ÿ˜Š

Picture: I stacked these dice using chopsticks lol

Had a busy week! I bet it'll be busier this week whew. Pray for me everyone!

I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. Grateful for Jesus Christ's Atonement and for His unconditional love unto us... Don't be afraid to share the Gospel to your friends. God will help you!

Have a fab week! Ngoh ngoi leihdeih!
