Thank you everyone for your emails/replies. It was nice to read all of those ๐Ÿ˜Š
How was your week? I am excited to watch General Conference next week (ours will be delayed). I heard lots of changes are happening ๐Ÿ˜Š ... and new temple for Davao City, Philippines? ๐Ÿ˜„ Whoaaa.

Updates/Highlights from last week:

Oct 1

After emailing...my companion did some of her "trunky" shopping... At night,we were supposed to meet with our former named "Brother J." but he fonged (didn't show up) us. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ and he blocked our number. Haaaay ๐Ÿ˜ฉ This makes me sad all the time. It's okay --- Gayauh! ๐Ÿ˜„ We're used to it now haha.
Talk I read today: October 2013 General Conference (Elder Ballard - Put Your Trust in the Lord) --- Become engaged in doing what you can in sharing the great message of the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Oct 2

Had District Council and it was weird cos we have our new district leader now, Elder Bagley. He's a good leader and has lots of ideas on how to help our district but we still miss Elder Francom (he was moved to another area). Anyways for our district council, everyone shared the most important element of missionary work... Everyone shared about different Christlike attributes but most especially, we all agreed that the Spirit is the most important element of missionary work. In PMG, a quote from Pres. Benson says "The Spirit is the most important single element in this work. With the Spirit magnifying your call, you can do miracles for the Lord in the mission field. Without the Spirit, you will never succeed regardless of your talents and ability.".. During our finding today, we taught "street lessons" to students and invited them to church. I feel like street lessons are effective even if it's just short. At least we were able to share our beliefs and teach them how to pray ๐Ÿ˜Š
Talk I read today: October 2013 General Conference (Elder Funk of the Seventy - Called of Him to Declare His Word) --- If you are humble and obedient and hearken to the voice of the Spirit, you will find great happiness in your service as a missionary.

Oct 3

Started to read the Book of Mormon with a returning member today through phone call (so grateful for technology! haha.). We want to help him build again his testimony and strengthen his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Talk I read today: October 2001 General Conference (Elder Workman - Beware of Murmuring) --- Obedience is essential to realize the blessings of the Lord, even if the purpose of the commandment is not understood.

Oct 4

We reviewed our Area Book and Less-Actives book today and it's so sad to look at it cos there are lots of Less Actives in our ward ๐Ÿ˜ฉ I think our ward attendance is just half or quarter. Me and my companion will start visiting and contacting these people again. We will do our best to bring them back to His fold.
Talk I read today: October 2016 General Conference (Elder Rasband - Lest Thou Forget) --- I encourage you to recall, especially in times of crisis, when you felt the Spirit and your testimony was strong; remember the spiritual foundations you have built.

Oct 5

Weekly Planning and Finding... We focus on part-member families now and started contacting them ๐Ÿ˜Š
Talk I read today: April 2016 General Conference (Elder Duncan - The Healing Ointment of Forgiveness) --- Forgiveness is the very reason God sent His Son, so let us rejoice in His offering to heal us all. The Savior's Atonement is not just for those who need to repent, it is also for those who need to forgive. Forgiveness is a glorious, healing principle.

Oct 6

Started teaching "Sister G." (newly baptized member) her ABL's (after baptism lessons) and reviewed with her the Restoration. She's super good and has great testimony!.. Then we also visited a member and we call her "Mama J." She's 80+ years old and lives alone ๐Ÿ˜ฉ It's sad that no one visits her. She shared her experiences as a member of the church and it was inspiring to hear her stories. Me and my companion decided to visit her more often and cook her soup every week ๐Ÿ˜Š Hehe..
Talk I read today: April 2016 General Conference (Elder Hallstrom - I Am A Child of God) --- In today's world, no matter where we live and no matter what our circumstances are, it s essential that our preeminent identity is as a child of God.

"Sister G." was finally confirmed today as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints ๐Ÿ˜Š We were actually worried that she won't be confirmed cos she said she'll be late but she made it on time ๐Ÿ˜Š ... Fast and Testimony Meeting today was great! Members are excited to hear those wonderful talks for this month's General Conference ๐Ÿ˜Š

That's my week ๐Ÿ˜Š Missionary work is getting harder everyday but I know that the Lord is helping me everyday. Please continue praying for missionaries ๐Ÿ˜Š I know that this Church is true. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I know that He died for us. I also know that Heavenly Father has a plan for us. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Love y'all! Have a great conference weekend! ๐Ÿ˜Š
