Sister Apao again from China Hong Kong Mission πŸ˜… With all the demos and protests happening here in HK, please know that ALL the missionaries here are safe and well taken care of... And of course, the Lord is with us all the time. 😊😊

Updates from last week:

My week was exhausting because of the back to back exchanges but it was fun to be back in my baby area (first area) with Sister Berry. Then had exchanges after with my MTC companion, Sister McColgan at her area... When I was in my baby area, I was able to see my favorite grandma member during our windows! I am so happy knowing that she's still healthy and active in the church...

Then with Sister McColgan, when we were doing windows, we didn't find someone who we can sit with and share a message, but only street "short" lessons. Nevertheless, I felt the Spirit which testified to me that that windows is still successful as I was able to share my purpose, touch their hearts, and for sure have even the smallest impact to their life with the simple message we shared... After that windows, we went to a member's house for a cheng. As we're on our way to that house, the road was very familiar...Then when we got to the members' place, I realized and I knew that I had been there before 😊 Their daughter was my first summer missionary back when I was a baby/trainee and she chenged us after her summer missionary weeks. Super cool!πŸ’•

For my area, we pretty much explored the good places for windows. I wasn't in the area for almost 4 days and so Sister Madriaga led the area (which is good! This is a really great step to train her and not depend on me). Also, she said she's proud of herself that she made it and even though she's still sometimes confused with directions, she did it well! Proud of her... We also had a turnover lesson from the Elders last Saturday witha  woman. We taught her about the Book of Mormon and when we tried giving her a copy of the book, she said "no need, I have it downloaded on my phone" and she really do have a gospel library app! Haha so cool! She's a former like years ago.

Then last Saturday we had a Relief Society activity wherein we made mooncakes (yay!). It's almost Mid-autumn festival, exciting! But that means our people being taught will be harder to schedule again because of some family gatherings. Our members yesterday also gave us A LOT of mooncakes haha with different flavors πŸ˜‚

Just want to share my last night's dream to y'all.. I think it was a continuation of my dream from last week haha but this is what happened. Me and Sister Madriaga just finished our lesson and then we got off the train to go home to our apartment. On our way out, there were a lot of police or soldiers wearing green and have those guns etc. and saw our nametags and approached us. The chinese guy said in his broken English : "Where. is. your. mission. leader?, you. need. to. leave. now".. And we ran as fast as we could! Haha. Interesting dream πŸ˜‚

So sorry that my email is so random again. Can't really talk much about the people we're teaching at the moment cos we don't have any progressing yet 😞 but no worries! Everything's good and we're doing the best we can to help our brothers and sisters here in Hong Kong 😊

I love this gospel. ε₯½ζ„Ÿθ¬ε–Ίζˆ‘ε˜…η”Ÿζ΄»θ£ι’ζœ‰η¦ιŸ³. It brought so much joy to me and my family. I know that we are all children of God. He loves us unconditionally! Never forget that. πŸ’•

😊 Have a great week everyone! Love y'all!
