你們好!How are y'all?
Last week was great! Aside from our Temple PDay, we also watched General Conference sessions, and had our move calls last Saturday... I guess this will be my last PDay in Hong Kong for now... cos I'm moving to MACAU! HAHAHA! It's crazy how God answers our prayers. I remember when I was still a "baby" (in my training) I'll pray so hard to be assigned there so I can help my fellow Filipinos and also see my elementary best friend and here we are, 10 months later, I got my answer 😊 Me and my MTC companion (Sis. McColgan) were planning to celebrate our 1 year mark in the mission (which will be on the 25th) but I guess we have to move our celebration lol.. I am sad that I won't see "Sis. G's" baptism, give "Sis. E" a baptismal date again, and witness "W.'s" progress in learning the Gospel 😞 but it's okay! The Lord has a plan. His ways are higher than our ways 😊 I will surely miss [this area] but I am also pumped up to go to Macau! Yay!
Some highlights from last week:
For our zone find, we did this "#531 BoM (Book of Mormon) challenge from last year. We printed BoM pages, stopped people on the street, and asked them to highlight a word or some words that refers to Jesus Christ. It's really interesting how each page has a reference about Christ! When we asked them where do they think this page came from, majority of them answered Bible and some said from a history book... Well, this finding method helped us introduce the book. It was a good opportunity to talk more about the Book of Mormon and testify of its truthfulness and how it changed our lives 😊
We had a turnover lesson from the Elders and taught their recent convert. She's...is the cutest! We did her ABLs (after-baptism-lessons) and in the middle of the lesson she asked us if she can watch TV in heaven lol she is sooo funny 😄 She has a strong testimony (especially about the law of fast) and loves serving other people. Love her! I'm sad that I can't continue teaching her ABLs though 😞
Watched General Conference and all of our friends came to the Sunday morning session and "Sis. G" even stayed til the afternoon session (yay! Super good)... 😊 I just love General Conference and listening to the Prophet and other church leaders 😊 I can't choose a favorite talk! Haha. They're all super good!
My fave quotes:
- Some will say, "You don't understand my situation."... I testify there is One who does understand." - Elder Neil L. Andersen (The Eye of Faith)
- Christ heals wounds. - Sister Sharon Eubank (Christ: The Light that Shines in Darkness)
- We are about elevating others, lifting them to a higher, holier place. - Sister Becky Craven (Careful vs Casual)
- Pray to have eyes to see God's hand in your life and in the world around you. - President Russell M. Nelson (Come, Follow Me)
Life is great! I know that Jesus Christ loves each one of us. May we access the power of His Atonement in our everyday lives. I love being a missionary and I love you all! Have a great week!
